We are delighted to announce the arrival of Dr. Yasin Seven to the Department of Physiological Sciences. Dr. Seven brings a wealth of expertise and a passion for advancing the field of respiratory research and neural control. His groundbreaking work in developing nanoparticle-based drug delivery systems targeting respiratory neurons has exciting potential for promoting neuroprotection and neuroplasticity. By employing freely-behaving respiratory functional assessment, in vivo real-time tissue oxygen recordings, enzymatic detection of neurotransmitters, in vivo single unit recordings, and cutting-edge data analytic approaches, Dr. Seven’s interdisciplinary approach aims to make a long-lasting impact for human and animal patients.
Dr. Yasin will extend his passion for research and apply his extensive knowledge to teach cardiovascular physiology in the core DVM curriculum here at the College of Veterinary Medicine.
Please join us in extending a warm welcome to Dr. Seven!
