Dr. Helena Zommer recently attended and presented at 7th TERMIS -WC in Seattle Washington. This year’s conference theme was “Coming Together to Design Better Healthcare for All.” Dr. Zommer chaired two sessions while at the conference. One was Advances in Skin Tissue Engineering which included talks on the latest research on biomechanical mechanisms and fibrosis and novel bioengineered and 3D-bioprinted. The other talk was models in skin tissue engineering. Dr. Geoffrey Gurtner from the University of Arizona gave the keynote lecture. Dr. Zommer recalls that the conference had very good attendance and audience engagement.
