Dr. Pedro Trevizan-Baú has recently been awarded the travel award at the Society for Neuroscience Conference in Chicago on Oct 5th – 9th, 2024. Dr. Leah Reznikov severed as his mentor. He also received a Gator NeuroScholar fellowship from the McKnight Brian Institute. Dr. Trevizan-Baú is also a postdoc at the BREATHE Center. He won the award for his work on combining functional and molecular strategies, his study shows that airway-innervating sympathetic neurons regulate airway mucus production and, thus, may serve as an underexplored therapeutic target for allergic asthma.
