Emma Schachner and her team had a paper on the cover of the Journal of Anatomy (led by a former PhD student). Here is the link: The work was funded by the Association of Avian Veterinarians and is on the respiratory anatomy of the African Grey Parrot, a very common species that people have as a companion animal.
