DVM Student Amanda Pineda Takes 3rd Place for Songbird Lung Anatomy Poster

Amanda Pineda, 3rd year DVM student, won third place in the Poster Contest at the Association of Avian Veterinarians conference in Phoenix, AZ this past weekend. She is working with Dr. Emma Schachner in the Dept. of Physiological Sciences on lung anatomy of songbirds in comparison to other species and shows the location of air sacs relative to common cannulation sites.
