My long-term research interests involve identifying pathophysiological outcomes, mediating mechanisms, blood-based biomarkers, and, potentially, safer GA alternatives for the intergenerational perioperative neurocognitive disorder (PND) in parents with pathophysiological conditions and the goal of this proposal is to help form a foundation for future laboratory and clinical studies of PND in young adults with traumatic brain injury (TBI), and ultimately help identify therapeutic strategies to alleviate such effects.
